Internship Objectives
• To provide an opportunity for intern to network and interact with local business and education leaders serving on Junior Achievement’s Board of Directors and committees.
• To provide intern with practical experience in a variety of areas to include assisting with organization and planning of special events, public relations, social media campaigns, desktop publishing, database management, project management and customer service.
• To provide an opportunity for intern to gain a positive teamwork experience in a small office.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Intern will work with Junior Achievement staff on projects that will generate revenue, recruit volunteers and increase awareness as identified by Junior Achievement and intern.

• Intern will be required to work 15-20 hours per week in the Junior Achievement office, which is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hours may be flexible and arranged around the intern’s class schedule. (unpaid)

Qualifications
• Ideal candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills and be computer literate in Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher or other desktop publishing programs. Microsoft Access and website management skills are a plus.
