  • Position: Social Media Coordinator
  • The ideal candidate has 1 or more years of previous social media and/or digital marketing experience. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Social Media/Online Marketing Strategist on all social media marketing initiatives and reputation management for physicians and physician clinics. This person will be responsible for implementing HCAPS’ online marketing program, auditing online profiles, updating online directories and social media sites, evaluating SEM and SEO campaigns, developing social media content, maintaining a social media database, and other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree with 1+ years of experience in social media marketing
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and how they are used
  • Exceptional communication (both listening and writing) skills
  • Candidate should be a regular reader of industry related sites and blogs
  • An appreciation for health care industry and services
  • Experience in the social media space, for personal and / or professional use
  • Excellent analytical and creative writing skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize duties for multiple campaigns and clients
  • Highly organized
  • Public speaking experience a plus
  • Proficient w/HTML and Adobe PhotoShop a plus

Position Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of Promote My Practice, HCAPS Online Marketing program; this includes but is not limited to teaching practices how to maintain a successful online presence through webinars and various training materials, monitoring results of the program, updating social media database and creating systemic reports
  • Monitor practices’ online presence and sentiment across online review site channels, such as Google + Local and Yelp, report findings to leadership, and take appropriate action
  • Serve as Project Manager for practices going through the Promote My Practice program
  • Conduct social media updates, outreach, and monitoring on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms
  • Track results and provide relevant progress reporting to clients and management
  • Support social media program execution including: the development of content, issuing creative requests, optimizing content for community engagement and more
  • Identify opportunities to activate online influencers
  • Develop engaging content for various eNewsletters; use Exact Target to send the eNewsletters and track their success
  • Monitor and report on secured coverage and competitor reach
  • Research and administer social media tools on a daily basis in support of the social media strategy
  • Develop, monitor and evaluate SEO and SEM campaigns
  • Monitor and evaluate social media results on a daily basis in coordination with online goals and benchmarks
  • Communicate to team and management on project development, timelines and results
  • Work across the Web & Social Media Department, including Web & Social Media Director, Social Media & Marketing Strategist, Web Project Manager Team Lead, Social Media Coordinators, Content Migrators, Front End Developers, Back End Developers, Practice Managers
  • Keep pace with social marketing trends and tools
  • Edit and improve website content for new and existing HCAPS websites; write and update existing physician specialty content for physician websites

  • This internship will assist the Director of Marketing and Communications with various marketing tasks (specifically as it relates to graphic design) and special events.


  • Assist with logistics, design and marketing of “Feed the Need” Food Drive
  • Assist with website updates
  • Assist with ENewsletter creation and distribution
  • Assist with all graphic design needs
  • Assist with design and creation of campaign marketing materials
  • Assist with quoting media buys
